LuK GmbH acquires Laycock Engineering Limited and starts planning a purpose built factory in South Yorkshire

1989

LuK (UK) Limited’s new factory in Sheffield is officially opened by the Rt. Honourable Lord Trefgarne, Minister for Trade.

Installation of the first new automated Car Assembly line, primarily for Nissan in the UK

1991

LuK (UK) Limited continues to grow and embark towards achieving Q1

1992

The first factory extension is made to accommodate a new Tractor Driven Plate line

1996

A second factory extension is made to accommodate a new Automated Car line
